The run has lifted Cambridge from a stuttering start to 10th in the table, three points ahead of the Shots.
Manager Rob Newman will be on a high after last weekend's fine 1-0 win at Morecambe, but will have to make do on Saturday without two of the men who played such crucial parts in that win.
Experienced defender Mark Peters, who spent a period on loan at the Rec last season, misses the game having picked up a fifth booking of the season, while 19-year-old Danny Bunce was sent-off in his debut game and also serves a one-match ban.
Newman does, however, have players to look out for, including ex-Ipswich Town midfielder Ashley Nicholls and popular striker David Bridges.
Brown said: “They had a great win at Morecambe on Saturday and have had that type of season where they beat the top sides and lose against the bottom ones. Given where we are in the table, I hope that trend continues on Saturday.”
The boss is hoping to have midfielder Andre Boucaud back in contention after he had three stitches to a head wound this week, while Ryan Scott, who also suffered a head wound in the tense 3-2 win over Gravesend & Northfleet on Saturday, is also fit to play.
Brown, meanwhile, has revealed he has until next Thursday to bring in at least one badly-needed striker target to partner Tim Sills up front.
November 24 has been named the cut-off date for deals before the opening of the transfer window, leaving the boss a week to tie up negotiations with two Football League strikers he is in talks with in view to setting up initial loan deals.
