Training Going Well

Chris Blackburn: One of the new trio who have settled in well.
Gary Waddock has told the Aldershot News that he has been very satisfied with what he has seen on the training pitch as his side continue to build up their fitness ahead of the new season.

"I'm extremely pleased with how training has gone so far," said Waddock.

"The players have all come back in good shape and have worked extremely hard."

Speaking about the three new additions to the squad - Chris Blackburn, marvin Morgan and Dean Howell he said, "They've all fitted in extremely well.

"They know some of the lads already and they are certainly not shy and staying in the corner, or anything like that. They have already settled well."

Also training were a couple of unfamiliar faces, as Waddock takes a look at 'triallists' in pre-season.

"I don't know who they are, I picked them up at the bus stop," joked the manager. "No, I'd rather not have their names revealed, we're just having a look at a couple of players."

Waddock did confirm, however, that two right backs were training with the Shots. That is no surprise, given that the current squad has no specialist right back, since Rob Gier and Dean Smith were released.
