Waddock Aiming To Shut Up Shop

Gary Waddock: Said there would be changes after late Notts County defeat.
Gary Waddock has told the clubs official website that he is working hard with the players to stop them from leaking late goals.

He said, "I wasn't happy at Notts County. The whole idea of the lads coming in on the Sunday morning was to do some training but to also highlight the situation and how we can turn a negative into a positive.

"It had nothing to do with the performance. It was all about the late goal. We have conceded in a similar mode too often and we have to eliminate this from our game. We did it last season, conceding late goals and hanging on to a certain degree. We need to recognise and learn what we can get out of a match and to learn when to shut up shop and get something from the match.

"In the matches that we have played upto this point the performances have been pleasing but this is a results based business. The matter has been discussed and we move on now. The players are aware of their responsibilties. To play Bury at home is a good game to have. They are unbeaten and are a good side. We are looking forward to this match."
