Gary Waddock: Blaming lack of tempo for Shots defeat.
Speaking to the clubs official website Shots manager Gary Waddock has blamed a lack of tempo from his side for yesterdays 1-0 defeat. He said, "It appeared to me that there wasn't enough tempo to the game. I expect more from the players and I am disappointed because the match was played as though it was an end of season affair.

"It has been a difficult week with the injury situation and I am glad that the match is out of the way.We had some players out of position and one in particular, Lewis Chalmers, was outstanding.

"The bottom line is that we conceded another early goal and have lost at home and that is not a situation that I enjoy.

"The game petered out from an early stage for me and Rotherham are a strong, well-organised outfit who are difficult to break down. It was a game of few chances too.

"We had a fantastic open conversation after the match in the dressing room and I learnt a lot more from the lads in there than I did from the match. It was extremely positive and we will now move on to the Port Vale match.

"Anthony Charles is ruled out of that match due to suspension and we have now lost John Grant too as he came off with a calf injury."
