Although the former defender has maintained that he is taking it "one game at a time", he admits he would love the job permanently.
"We're settling in really well, enjoying every day," he said.
"We are in at 7am most mornings looking forward to training because we want to just get out there and work.
"We'd like to have a job and hopefully with hard work we can take the club where they want to be," he added. "I think we could take the club onwards and hopefully get them what they want, like promotion.
"I can't say they'd be playing in the Champions League in 10 years time, you never can, but no stone would be unturned and we would work as hard as we could for Aldershot."
