Winfield Joins Wycombe

It started with Gary Waddock and Martin Kuhl, next they tried Scott Donnelly and Marvin Morgan - then they tried Scott Donnelly again, and now it has been revealed that promising defender Dave Winfield has joined Wycombe Wanderers.

The youngster, who had been offered a new deal with The Shots even though he didn't feature as often as he perhaps could have last season, was said to have both Wycombe and AFC Wimbledon chasing his signature.

In an official announcement on the Wycombe website has stated: "Centre back Dave Winfield has today agreed to to join his former boss Gary Waddock at Wycombe Wanderers when his current deal expires at Aldershot Town."

The move will be good for the player who believes that he should be playing more at this stage of his career and will finally please Shots boss Kevin Dillon after yesterdays reports that he was becoming frustrated with being messed around by Winfield, Hudson and Soares.
