Winfield Returns To Aldershot

Salisbury City club secretary Alec Hayter has announced that Shots defender Dave Winfield has returned to North Hampshire after Gary Waddock decided not to extend his loan spell with the Wiltshire based club.

In the announcement, the secretary stated that Winfield has returned to Aldershot due to "a late development that has seen Aldershot Town left without a recognised central defender".

There has been no news regarding the player on the official Shots website.

Meanwhile, midfielder Lewis Chalmers is due to return to the club this coming Saturday after his loan period with Crawley Town comes to an end, however, speaking to the official Crawley website today, manager Steve Evans has told his site, "We have done some good business in this transfer window though, that no one can doubt.

"We have added Jon Shaw, Robbie Matthews, Lewis Chalmers and made Mikey Malcolm permanent so that speaks for itself."
