Clarke - who had decided to stick with his day job rather than opt to turn professional decided that his future lay at the Dripping Pan where he will turn out for his former club in the Conference South.
Rooks manager, Steve King told the website, "Dwain has enjoyed playing in the Conference National and is more aware than ever now of the need to fulfil his defensive as well as attacking responsibilities in his position.
"He really enjoyed his time with us and cannot wait to get stuck into trying to get us up to where he has spent the last six months.
"On his day, I believe that he is the best left winger in non-league football and that he has matured a lot since we last saw him. For me this is another major step in the right direction in what is undoubtedly going to be an even tougher season than last year."
The Shots are due to play at Lewes in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday 3rd August.
