Former Shot Facing Prison?

The Non-League Paper has reported that former Shots player Fiston Manuella who played for the club during the 2003/04 season, is facing a GBH charge at Guildford Crown Court on 1st August 2006.

25-year old Manuella who now plays plays for Stains Town will face up to 12 months in prisonment after pleading guilty to the charge at a previous hearing.

The player was accused of headbutting an opponent during Staines' FA Cup match against Dunstable last year and is the second time a Staines player has appeared in court after an incident during a football match.

The clubs former striker Kezi Ibe was charged but later cleared of assaulting Halifax Town manager Chris Wilder after an FA Trophy tie in 2004.
