The powerful striker had a massive bust-up with manager Ian Baird following last Saturday's home game against Thurrock and hasn't been seen since.
It isn't the first time that Griffiths (pictured) has been in trouble in the few weeks he has been at the club.
A fortnight ago he was left out of the squad for the Hayes & Yeading United game after he failed to turn up at training in midweek.
However, all seemed well forty-eight hours later when he found himself back in the starting line-up at Eastbourne Borough and celebrated his debut with a goal to earn his side a 2-2 draw.
Having done well, Griffiths was expected to start against Thurrock at the weekend but again, after apparently arriving late, he was relegated to the substitutes' bench.
He got into the action replacing the injured Jamie Slabber midway through the first half but though the Hawks eventually cruised to a 3-0 victory, it was a lacklustre team performance.
Baird was disappointed and let his players know his feelings but Griffiths stormed out of the changing rooms fuming.
He failed to show again at training, ringing in to say he had to take his son to hospital.
Since taking over the reins in 2004 Baird has insisted on improving the discipline and professionalism of the squad.
Players are left in no uncertain terms as to what is expected of them by the club, who are paying them a decent wage for non-League football.
Last season defender Justin Gregory, one of the most consistent performers in the side, found himself watching from the sidelines at Farnborough Town after arriving late.
Baird has never been one to shirk a difficult decision.
The ex-Leeds United striker is determined to improve on last season's place in the play-offs and earn promotion this time around.
It remains to be seen how long his patience with Griffiths holds out and whether he believes the striker can accept the discipline at Westleigh Park.
