Ryman League Premier Division club Heybridge Swifts have announced the signing of forward Craig Hughes and defender Tobi Jinadu.

Hughes was released from Colchester United in April of this year and has impressed in two Swifts` pre-season friendlies, scoring twice on his debut at Maldon Town and having another superb strike disallowed at Great Wakering Rovers.

His work rate and prowess in front of goal combined with his youth make him a valuable asset to the Heybridge squad.

Jinadu (pictured), a 24-year-old central defender who also impressed at Maldon and Great Wakering, is a towering presence in defence.

Originally with Irish side Mullingar Town, he signed for Harrow Borough in October 2002 from Clapton and then switched to Wembley in January 2003, moving on to have spells with Cambridge City and Welling United before signing for Sutton United in September 2003.

He moved to Aldershot Town in the summer of 2004 but failed to really establish himself at The Rec and spent part of his first season out on loan at Lewes and most of his second on the transfer list, eventually joining Hayes in August 2006 before swiftly joining Bromley and then Ryman Premier champions Hampton & Richmond Borough.

He has spent the close season training full-time at Coca-Cola League Two new boys Dagenham & Redbridge
