Boss says hope on the horizon for Gayle

Interviewed on www.theshots.co.uk Shots boss Terry Brown has given a hint that Marcus Gayle could, after all, play again this season.

In his preview of Saturday's match at the Rec against Graham Westley's in form Rushden & Diamonds the boss had some encouraging news.

"Andy Edwards is progressing well but he will not play again this season. Marcus Gayle has responded well to treatment after the op and Sue (Bowen) seems confident that come the end of March there may well be a chance that he could play again this season.

"We will assess it there but if Marcus could return for the back end of the season that would be a real bonus. I am still not ruling out that there may be another loan signing".
