Reading FC have secured a deal - believed to be for one season - for their Reserve Team matches to be played at the Recreation Ground.
The official Reading website www.readingfc.premiumtv.co.uk has announced the deal saying, "The club is relaying the Madejski Stadium pitch this summer and the reserves move to Aldershot will help protect the new stadium pitch in its first season."
With Readings Reserves winning the Barclays Premier League South last season as well as taking victory in the National play-off against Bolton Nick Hammond said, "We are confident that Aldershot Town FC will be an excellent venue for our reserve fixtures and look forwards to developing this relationship."
Shots Chairman John McGinty told the site, "We are delighted Reading Reserves will be playing at Aldershot Town Football Cluband we look forwards to a long and happy relationship between our clubs."
