Join The Trust At The Stuttgart Beer Festival

Here at the Shots Trust, we believe that we should offer you more than just the run of the mill things throughout the football season - so why not dust down your lederhosen and join us at the 2012 Stuttgart Spring Beer
Festival?!

If you’re one of those people who wish it could be Oktoberfest every day,
then the Stuttgart Spring Beer Festival at Cannslatter Wasen is for you!

The programme is a scaled down version of the main beer festival held in
the city in September and features a funfair, Oompah Bands, firework displays, hot-air balloons, late night parties with top DJ’s, oh and of course, plenty of beer too!

The Stuttgart Fruehlingsfest (Spring Festival) offers a great way to end the season (unless we make the play off's!) as we kick off with a two night stop in Stuttgart to enjoy their fantastic festival which runs over a two-and-a-half-week period every spring, on the fairgrounds in the Bad Cannstatt district of the city.

There are at least a half dozen beer “tents” at the festival but these are less like tents and more like buildings: permanent wooden structures that hold thousands of revellers.  Each beer tent is different and not only does each feature a different brand of beer but each has different music as well!  Some tents have a traditional fest band playing or there may be a DJ spinning both dance music and traditional fest tunes - there is a wide range to suit all tastes.

Beer is served in a traditional “mass”, which is a litre mug of beer and Pils is the beer of choice, although other types of beer and schnapps are also widely available but it isn't all about beer!

There is a funfair with carnival rides and a Ferris wheel for those who don’t mind heights as well as stalls and tents selling local and traditional food so all in all, there is plenty to make it the perfect weekend!

If you have enough of drinking during the evening and the day, the city is also home to the Porsche and Mercedes museums, both of which are well worth a visit!

The trip is designed so as people can do as much or as little as they like - and makes an ideal "get away" for Shots supporters to get together away from football and meet new friends along the way!
