Another lack of concentration, this time from keeper Jamie Young, saw all three points thrown away for the second match running as Dean Holdsworth’s men failed to capitalise on their lions share of possession.
With chance after chance going begging, it came down to a howler from Jamie Young to gift wrap all three points for the visitors – leaving The Shots pointless from their last two home fixtures – and fans feeling that there could be a long hard season ahead.
As with the defeat against Northampton at the weekend, The Shots dominated their opposition for long periods, but failed to break down a resolute defence and with goals winning games, there will need to be subtle changes made, as the side continued to be bereft of ideas where it mattered the most.
SHOTS: Jamie Young, Ben Herd, Anthony Straker, Luke Guttridge, Darren Jones, Aaron Brown, Jermaine McGlashan (Bradley Bubb), Jamie Collins, Michael Rankine (Jake Taylor), Danny Hylton, Peter Vincenti (Alex Rodman).
Attendance: 2230 (incl 330 visitors)
