Dagenham & Redbridge produce a mature display at the Recreation Ground to end Aldershot's 11-month unbeaten home run.
Strikes from Solomon Taiwo and Jon Nurse put a dagger through the Shots' heart, after they missed numerous gilt-edged chances.
Fresh from hammering Barnet on Boxing Day, Aldershot produced their most dominant first-half display this season.
Danny Hylton combined well with Marvin Morgan on eight minutes but couldn't keep his shot on target from ten yards.
On 15 minutes Kirk Hudson put the home side in front with a well-crafted goal. Morgan fed Hylton inside the penalty box the striker cushioned his header to Hudson. The winger lobbed Tony Roberts with aplomb from 14 yards.
Moments later Hudson found space again and cut the ball to three waiting Aldershot players, they all failed to make contact with the ball from four yards.
With quarter of the game gone, Andy Sandell tried his luck from distance, but Roberts saved calmly.
On 27 minutes, Anthony Charles brought down Paul Benson on the edge of the area. Taiwo stepped up and flighted an exquisite free-kick over the wall into the bottom left corner.
After Taiwo's devastating touch of class neither threatened the opposition goal for the rest of the half.
Dagenham dealt with Aldershot's offensive power more ably in the second period.
Mark Arber and Peter Gain provided more ballast for the visitors, reducing Aldershot's number of chances. In the opening seconds, Morgan hit the sidenetting from 15 yards.
Dagenham responded through a Ben Strevens header from Scott Griffiths' cross, Nikki Bull saved well from the striker's header.
In an 11-minute burst, Hudson headed across the face of goal, Anthony Straker had a shot deflected wide of goal and Hylton forced a good save from Roberts.
On 81 minutes, Roberts produced a stunning save from Hylton after good work down the flank from Hudson.
Morgan then found the sidenetting again from a Scott Davies corner. From the subsequent goal kick Dagenham produce an excellent five-man move, Peter Gains crossed to Jon Nurse who stabbed from five yards.
Despite managing only two serious attempts on goal, Dagenham were worthy of the three points with two moments of real class.
