Shots left Hereford with a well deserved three points after a barn-storming performance on the welsh border.

This was a really entertaining match between a team desperate for a win and our team, desperate to add goals to what have been really encouraging recent performances.

The quality of Shots passing and movement in the first half an hour belied the windy conditions and they set about hitting a Bulls side looking low in confidence. Shots had the ball in the net within a minute. A simply executed free kick from the left, played to McGlashan at the far post, who headed it back across goal, where Michael Rankine rose to head home, only for the Assistant Referee to flag for offside.

Shots soon came again though and with Rodman, Rankine and McGlashan all in fine form, they tore through the home side's defence time and time again. All three had at least two efforts on goal, during the course of a whirlwind opening half an hour, in which Shots dominated throughout.

Bulls had a couple of decent chances themselves in what was a really open game, the sort that Shots have been waiting for a long time.

Finally, Shots took the lead thanks to a blistering strike from the rampaging Rankine in 18th minute from 20 yards.

After the break, initially anyway, it was more of the same, Rodman almost scoring within a minute, cutting in from the left as he does, Cornell, having a brilliant game in goal for the Bulls getting down low to his right to save just inside his post.

The game then got a little scrappy, as Shots still pushed for a goal, but had to be careful they didn't leave the door open at the back. Bulls huffed and puffed, but lacked any real quality and rarely troubled Worner in goal for Shots.

Vinceti replaced McGlashan and quickly played his part in proceedings. As the game crept into the final ten minsutes Vincenti popped up to get on the end of a wicked, curling free kick from Rodman and headed it back across goal from an acute angle and it nestled into the far corner of the net. 2-0 Shots and some deserved breathing space.

And that was it - a thoroughly professional performance by Shots, three points and another clean sheet. Up toi 14th and finally, Shots are starting to get the results that their perfroamcnes undoubtredly deserve.
