Struggling Aldershot must have thought they were dreaming as they ended a run of six away defeats in spectacular style.
The Shots, who last won on their travels in November, made a mockery of the formbook to hand Kidderminster their biggest defeat of the season.
Kidderminster failed abysmally to cope with a swirling wind in the first half and can have no complaints when they found themselves 4-0 behind at the break.
Aldershot's direct approach brought them two goals in the opening 16 minutes and when they doubled their tally just before the interval, the home fans rightly booed their dejected side off the field.
After the break Kidderminster at least won back some self-respect with a more determined display.
Luke Reynolds, making his debut after signing from AFC Telford in midweek, pulled a goal back but in truth Kidderminster were never going to fully undo the damage inflicted in the first 45 minutes.
The Shots were ahead after only six minutes, full-back Darren Barnard curling home a 20-yard free-kick after home skipper Daryl Burgess had brought down the lively Leroy Griffiths on the edge of the box.
Ten minutes later Barnard completely caught out the home defence with a left-wing cross and Nick Crittenden headed home unchallenged.
In the 34th minute the home defence were again found wanting when Ryan Williams shot home from a Griffiths cross.
In the final minute of the first half Kirk Hudson rolled home the visitors' fourth goal after yet more sloppy defending by the home backline.
In the second period Reynolds pulled a goal back for Harriers with a 53rd minute strike, but apart from a Gavin Hurren header which rattled the crossbar, Kidderminster never really looked like further reducing the deficit.
