A 65th minute Aaron Morris strike was enough to earn Aldershot Town a third consecutive League Two win at the expense of lowly Macclesfield.

It was Shots first win at Moss Rose, but condemned the home side to a club record seventh successive defeat.

Morris only started the game due to the training ground injury yesterday, that ruled out loanee Darren Murphy. The young Welshman, who many Shots fans consider to have been one of our most consistent performers this season, took full advantage of his first start for some time and will surely now keep his place for Tuesday evenings home tussle with League Two leaders Southend United.

Also impressive once again was goalkeeper Ross Worner, who celebrated signing a new two year contract with his third clean sheet in four games.
