Stevenage Borough 3 - 1 Aldershot Town

Boro took a 24th minute lead when Dave Winfield turned Daryl McMahon's low cross past his own keeper. The lead was doubled on the stroke of half time when Winfield hauled down Mitchell Cole and Mark Arber tucked away the spot-kick.

Boro made it three just 38 seconds into the new half as Steve Morison and Cole combined for Craig Dobson to emphatically bury the third. Shots were handed an immediate lifeline when Mark Molesley wrestled Scott Davies to the floor from a Joel Grant cross and captain Rhys Day sent Alan Julian the wrong way from the penalty spot.

There were still plenty of chances for both sides in the remainder of the game, Cole missing a hatful and Arber's second penalty of the afternoon well saved by Nikki Bull.
