New club sponsors EBB Paper - http://www.ebbpaper.co.uk, the UK's leading independent paper merchant, paid the club a reported £250,000 in a two season sponsorship deal... which then only lasted for one season.
Yet again, Errea supplied the kit and although there were slight problems with the initial design where some supporters were provided with a different design (see photograph), the finished article was of good quality for the second time running.
Rather embarrasingly, the Shots found that both their home and away kit clashed with one or two other clubs strips and on monday 9th October 2006, The Shots were forced to use an old Woking strip in a match live on Sky TV when the referee deemed both kits clashed with the Woking home strip.
|
As a result, the club introduced a limited edition yellow third strip (see photograph below) which was used from then on.
|
This strip never saw the light of day, but was received by some supporters as the club began to roll out the new style strips at the start of the 2006/07 season.
The quartered area was on the front only and smaller than that of the finished shirts.
The club were unaware of the faulty design and replaced all effected shirts.
