Two Shots Make National Game XI Squad

Lewis Chalmers - Continues his England career
Louie Soares and Lewis Chalmers have both been picked for Paul Faircloughs sixteen-man squad who will travel to Finland next month to play in an International Challenge Trophy Group A fixture.

The decision to name Louie Soares in the line-up has come as a surprise to many Shots supporters given that he has represented the full Barbados International side in the Digicel Caribbean Cup and we will have to wait and see if the decision has been made in error or whether "C" Internationals do not count as there is no current information available surrounding the announcement.

The squad contains two players from outside of the BSP Conference - full back Liam Brownhill from Witton Albion and Blyth Spartains keeper Adam Bartlett who has kept his place after featuring for the side in a friendly fixture back in Finland against the same country.

The full squad:

Lance Cronin - Ebbsfleet United

Adam Bartlett - Blyth Spartains

Barry Fuller - Stevenage Borough

John Brayford - Nigel Clough's Burton Albion

Michael Morrison - Cambridge United

Ronnie Henry - Stevenage Borough

Liam Brownhill - Witton Albion

Matthew Day - Oxford United

Louie Soares - The Shots

Stuart Lewis - Stevenage Borough

Russell Penn - Kidderminster Harriers

Lewis Chalmers - The Shots

The match is being played at the Finnair Stadium, Helsinki and kicks off at 6pm on Wednesday 14th November 2007.
